Do not enter
Once a friend and I were set to meet at a parking lot. Neither of us had a car or a cell phone then. We are poor students coming to states with two suitcases.
To be polite and punctual, I arrived at the huge parking lot on time and hoping to find my friend by scanning around. The parking lot was huge, so I decided to stay where I was, for fear that if I walked around, and my friend did the same, we would miss each other. I waited and waited until about half an hour past our appointed time. Finally, I lost my patience, and began to walk around to find my friend.
Finally, I saw her standing at the gate at the far end of the parking lot. She was just as antsy as me.
“why are you standing there? aren’t we supposed to meet at the lot?” I asked,
“but it says ‘DO NOT ENTER'”, she said quite innocently, pointing to a sign on the entry gate for vehicles.
